Hello, I'm Marc Mailand, founder and CEO of Toggle Book Factory. I want to tell you about our Long-Term Mission and why I created this company.

Number one, we want to innovate children’s books. I’m a parent, and I’m in a constant struggle with my children regarding screen time. According to a study by Common Sense Media, children are on screens five times more than they’re reading books:

We at Toggle Book Factory think that children will be more invested in stories that they help create, especially if we integrate interactive experiences with their books.

The second reason I created this company is because minorities and disabled children are still underserved in children’s literature.

Our solution at Toggle Book Factory is character customization. Our hope is that one day all children will have the possibility of seeing someone like them in more books.

We have a LONG way to go in representing all children, but our goal is to add more skin tones, hairstyles, and body types. We also want to add glasses, walkers, leg braces, and wheelchairs to our books, but we need your help to get there.
